An award-winning writer and teacher, he writes poetry and fiction as well as editorials, profiles, and feature articles for Coastal Virginia Magazine, Alt Daily, and others and teaches poetry and fiction workshops for The Muse.

Alyssa is an avid photographer, graphic designer, bookbinder, and art handler (aka toucher of art you shouldn’t touch). Alyssa previously worked as a  Digital Content Specialist and Gallery Assistant at Glass Wheel Studio, assisted in photographing the Chrysler Museum of Art’s glass collection, and was the ‘kiln lady’ at a ceramic studio.
